PAFW'10 - Thread's Killer Looks from the Catwalk!

It was a night unlike any other.

The music was pumping, the base was pounding.

The champagne was flowing, the excitment was building.

It was an evening of fashion at it's finest.

It was Harriett's Park Avenue Fashion Week 2010 - The Big Show!

Flaunting a fine cast of Park Avenue merchants, PAFW'10 was as well-rounded as it was well-attended. Without an open seat in sight, all attendees anxiously anticipated the lights to flicker, lower and shine a spotlight on the lastest and greatest fashions that fall has to offer.

The Emerging Designer 2010 winner headed the prominent list, and the best was saved for last.

Rounding out the list of 13 or so merchants, Thread debuted newly arrived pieces from French Connection, Kirribilla, Roberta Freymann Jewelry, and L*Space Swimwear...just to name a few!

 

It was an unforgettable evening of fun and fashion to kick off the fall season!

All model looks are currently adorning the racks of Thread, just waiting to dress you for your next holiday party, work event, or a simply fabulous Tuesday.

Heels-For-Hearts Tomorrow, Sunday October 17th!

Fashion Week has finally arrived! 

The Trunk Shows are unpacked, the champagne is chilling, the events are booked, and the Annual VIP Party commenced last evening with some of Winter Park's finest flashing their fall fashions in preparation for the upcoming week.

In order to kick off this most splendid of occasions, Thread will be hosting Heels-for-Hearts - a charitable Heel-A-Thon in the Rose Garden of Central Park tomorrow, October 17th at Noon. Each participant may adorn between a 2" to 4" heel, and walk sponsored laps around a circular course to raise money for the American Heart Association. After the coursing commences, the crowd will head back to Thread for the after-party of all after-parties. Complete with mimosas, morning delicacies, raffle prizes and special offers for all participants, the party will be in full swing around one. Stop by, enter to win a gift card to dinner at Palmano's, smoothies at PowerHouse, a spa day at Yolo, a yoga package to Salt Room, or one of four gift cards to Thread, while also shopping the plethora of Trunk Show Items including Kirribilla, Yumi Kim, Sunner, Morra Design Jewelry, Martha Ford Jewelry and L*Space Suits and Cover-Ups!

No-White Nonsense!

I think it's about time that we put the whole no white after labor day nonsense to rest. Lately I've been hearing the ever-so typical post-August conversation, and it usually follows along the lines of...."that is so cute, but it's white...and it's October, but I do love it!" 

Well we're here to say, 'Lady - if you love it, you rock it!'

We live in Florida. This oh-so-sunny state regularly defies the laws of seasonal change, so why shouldn't all Florida fashionistas follow in accordance?Albeit fall fashions can be more fun, so here is an example of how to turn a super-summer dress into an awesome October ensemble!

What was once a plain white eyelet sundress, is now a vision in plaid and leather. Be A Glastonbury Girl in Winter Park, FL!

Inspired by the Glastonbury Festival that takes place near Glastonbury, England in Pylton and Pylle, C&C California likes to keep in touch with their international side. The Glastonbury Festival is the largest green-field open-air music and performing arts festival in the world. Distinguishable styles from such a festival are in accordance with plaids, denims and neutral to dark solids. Therefore, Thread has paired their very best C&C-Glastonbury Girl Get-Up to show our English Equestrian Style.
